Yes, this really IS vintage china

I've been working on something pretty special. A while back I invested in a wet ring saw. Invested is the right word by the way. It was $700 and some change, and to me, that's a lot for a tool. And yet I feel it's been worth it.
With the ring saw I can carve out details in stained glass, porcelain, bone china, ceramics, and more. I started making some distinct hearts because of course - LOVE. Then I moved on to carve around the roses in some vintage china. I made those into necklaces and people seem to like them.
This summer I wanted to keep evolving so I tried some silhouettes of cats, shown here in the photo. I like them. Do you? The tails make these more fragile than a rose cut out and at their size, they'd be a bit too big and heavy for a necklace or brooch. If I were to make them ornaments, I still run into the weight issue, and I'd have to drill a hole right into kitty's face. Not doing that!
So far, I've done roses, cats, and two states - Iowa and Illinois. I borrowed the idea from Julie Stamper, a fellow maker pal who does state-shaped mosaics with upcycled vintage state plates. They are so neat - take a look at her Etsy site: ShopCottageKitsch - Etsy
I'm going to add some of my new cutouts to my own Etsy site soon. In the meantime, what other designs/shapes would you like to see?
